Artificial intelligence is disrupting ever industry and commercial real estate is not immune.
In an article published by Bisnow, Patrick Sisson explored the expanding impact of AI on the commercial real estate arena.
In the article, Sisson quotes several tech leaders in the industry who generally believe that increased digitization is coming at an increasing speed. The exact form of disruption that this automation will take isn’t clear. The experts quoted in the article tend to lean toward augmenting human performance rather than replacing humans altogether. Regardless of form, the impact of AI will be disruptive because CRE has been slow to adapt in years past.
This is the same point I make in the first portion of Adapt (chapters 1-3). Our clients will have access to more data, and more sifted data, than ever before. They will insist on strategy that is grounded in analysis and information. But this is a good thing as we all benefit from strategies that work, or that can be retooled, because of algorithms.
Our challenge of course is to find the time and resources to get in front of this AI tsunami. We can manage the change if we participate in it.
So, what are you doing to enhance your collection and analysis of new data? How will this new skill change the way you serve your clients? Are you ready?
THE FUTURE IS NOW!
